While the storyboard was drawn by Zhivko Zheliazkov, Peter Höhsl designed the character of “Plastic-Werner”. Werner Boote´s feature documentary "Plastic Planet" produced by Neue Sentimental Film Vienna will include some minutes of animation made by Cine Cartoon. Following a co-production agreement Cine Cartoon now starts developing character design of two heroes in Manga style. Shot in more than 15 countries "Plastic Planet" will be theatrically released in autumn 2008.
An agreement for co-development was signed recently with Peach Blossom Media LDT / Singapore. While UK based authors Dan & Nuria Wicksman provide Cine Cartoon with new storylines, Peach Blossom will soon start to re-design characters and animate a trailer for our TV-series "TOMTOM" (52 x 13min).
Polish co-producer Studio Miniatur Filmowytch got covenant from Polish Film Institute for “Tiny, the Elephant”, a 3-way-co-production between KEVIN LEE Filmgesellschaft GmbH (Munich) and Cine Cartoon.
In co-operation with Neue Sentimental Film 3d-expert Martin L`Heureux from Vancouver, Canada (www.imperiamedia.ca) was invited to Austria for three days to lecture at Donau-Universität Krems, FH OÖ / Hagenberg and FH St.Pölten between April 23rd and 25th.
On April 5th Julia Bogner, owner of Cine Cartoon Filmproduktion GmbH, assigned management to Thomas Bogner, who is CEO of Neue Sentimental Film Austria AG (www.nsf.at). While continuing with Cine Cartoon’s previous business his main objective is to develop formats for mobile content as he believes that animation holds a lot of opportunities in the changing world of media. Julia Bogner is still overseeing business of Cine Cartoon but will also assume responsibility for fund raising for Yabonga, a children project in Africa, which she has put her heart and soul in.
